This is a large complex of buildings which today serves as an UNRWA hospital. The building was established by the German Kaiser Wilhelm II when he visited the country in 1898. The building first served as a hostel for German pilgrims and was named after the Kaiser's wife. At the beginning of the British Mandate the British High Commissioner lived here.
